What are the benefits of cold-pressed juice?
What is cold-pressed juice?
Cold pressing is the process of extracting nutrient-rich juice from fresh produce with a hydraulic press or commercial-grade juicer. We say “cold” because there is no heat used during the extraction – the press or juicer uses high pressure instead. The juicing process creates very low levels of oxidation so as not to compromise the integrity of the fruits and vegetables. The result: a fresh and flavorful juice that is rich in color and dense in nutrients.
What’s the difference between my juicer and your juicer?
At Nourish Your Soul, all of our juices are produced using the highest quality press available. A hydraulic press completely – yet gently – grinds the fruit or vegetable into a fine pulp, then applies thousands of pounds of pressure to extract every ounce of juice possible. The gentle pressing action allows little to no air to be introduced, which allows each juice to be bottled, sealed, and refrigerated for up to three days with little loss of taste, nutrients, or color.
While you can juice at home, most people use a “centrifugal” juicer commonly sold in stores. This type of juicer takes the whole fruit or vegetable and squeezes out the juice with a fast-spinning metal blade – a process that generates heat, destroys critical enzymes, and oxidizes vital nutrients. In turn, it renders juice that is less nutritious and delicious than a cold-press juice.
Is your produce organic?
Nourish Your Soul only uses the highest quality ingredients, and we choose organic and local produce when available.
Are your juices high in sugar?
It is important to make the distinction between added sugars and sugars that occur naturally in foods like fruits and vegetables. Our juices are made from healthy foods that contain water, fiber, and various micronutrients. We never add sugar. However, naturally occurring sugars are absolutely fine and even necessary for holistic health.
How should your juices be stored?
Nourish Your Soul juices should be refrigerated immediately, even if you haven’t opened the bottle.
What is the shelf life of your juices?
Nourish Your Soul juices are raw, unpasteurized, and contain live enzymes, which makes them highly perishable. Refrigerate your juice as soon as you get home. They have a 3-day shelf life.

What are the benefits of cleansing?
Possible benefits include:
When is a good time for a cleanse?
We recommend doing a seasonal cleanse, when our bodies are shifting to prepare for the summer, fall, winter, or spring. But listen to your body and cleanse when it feels like you need to reset, refresh, and reenergize.
How many days should I cleanse for?
It all depends on your body and its needs, so it’s best to choose the number of days based on your goals. If you’re looking to simply reset your body, start small with maybe 1-2 days. If you wish to make a more radical transformation to your system, it will require more time and dedication. However, it’s also important to be realistic. Start with 3 days or go longer, consider your lifestyle and start with a number of days you are willing to commit to.
Nourish Your Soul advocates making our juices a part of your daily life, whether you are cleansing or not. Consuming the nutrients in our fresh-pressed drinks on a regular basis will support your system and keep your body in optimal shape – inside and out.
Is there a correct order for drinking the juices?
Yes, we provide the juice order in the cleanse instructions.
Will I maintain the same level of energy?
While everyone reacts differently, a cleanse typically causes some ups and downs in your energy levels. At some point you will probably experience a decrease in energy. After all, your body is going through a transformation and it takes energy to adapt. So if you’re tired, allow yourself to rest. Just know that this feeling isn’t permanent. In fact, your body will soon acclimate and become more energized.
Can I work out during the cleanse?
If you normally work out, then you can continue to do so. Sweating helps release the toxins in your body. But be mindful of your body. Do what feels right and what your body is accustomed to. Yoga, which has the added benefits of controlled breathing and movement, is a great option for maximizing the cleanse process.
Can I eat during the cleanse?
Ideally, a cleanse gives your digestive system a break from food. The cleanse instructions will provide suggestions on what you can add in, if necessary.
Can I cleanse while I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Nourish Your Soul cleanse programs are designed for those who are healthy; however, there are certain individuals who should not participate. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not restrict your diet as you need the added calories for yourself and baby. We recommend consulting your physician first.
Do you deliver and what days/times?
Yes, we deliver! Nourish Your Soul delivers on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 6-9am.
